At 16:00 local time this Saturday the third stage of La Solitaire du Figaro will start, however this time the course will stay inshore, running along the coast for 492 miles from Dunkirk to Saint Nazaire. This race will provide a cocktail of navigational challenges as the skippers must decide on how best to navigate past headlands, islands, rocks, fishermen, and currents. Sound tactics and strategy will be a continual pressure for the fleet who must manage themselves well to endure these obstacles for several days…
